Creating Datum elements is the starting point of any Revit model. Structural Grids, Levels, and reference planes are the guide lines that represent the proper placement of every structural 3D component in your Revit project. Understanding how Datum elements are used can help you throughout the Revit modeling process.
This SEU BIM Forum session will include tips and tricks on how these Datum elements display throughout structural plans, elevations, and sections. Information will also be included to show how Datum elements react to crop regions, scope boxes, and work planes, and how to make the necessary changes to view these elements correctly.
This will be a beginner/intermediate Revit Structure session.
•Understand how to set up Datum elements properly.
•Identify how Datum elements drive the Revit model and how structural elements depend on them for placement within the project.
•Work with views to display Datum elements and recognize how Datum elements can be modified.
Handouts and registration emails will be sent to SE University companies on Friday, May 18th.
