Post-installed anchoring adhesives are used by engineers for many different applications. Whether used for anchoring threaded rod or rebar, or anchoring into concrete or masonry, they are used to transfer force from an insert to the base material. Prior to IBC 2012 (by reference to ACI 318-11), the code didn’t provide any information specific to adhesive anchors. Since then, the codes now contain several requirements as to how adhesive anchors into concrete are to be designed, specified, installed, and inspected. This presentation will highlight some of the newest code provisions related to adhesive anchors installed into concrete, and present those requirements from an engineer’s and contractor’s perspectives.

Handouts and registration emails for this session will be sent to SE University companies on Friday, September 8th.
