During this SE University session, Cathleen Jacinto, SE, PE, highlighted the use of checklists by the structural engineer in the construction administration phase of steel projects. This session focused on what to look for in steel construction submittal reviews beyond member sizes, and how to recognize potential field issues through real-world examples. New approaches to organizing the construction administration phase were outlined, and the coordination checklists offered by SE University for use in the design phase to mitigate potential construction issues were also reviewed.
