Steel joists and Joist Girders can be used to construct more than just flat roofs. This SEU session will provide engineers with details and design guidance for using special profile steel joists in these situations. Direction will be provided for designing and detailing special profile steel joists, particularly in pitched roofs, curved roofs, and hip roof framing. The speakers will also examine best practices when using special profile steel joists.
