In May 2026, SEU welcomed back Dave Adams, PE, SE, from BWE, Inc., to present Evaluating Sustainable Materials and Structures. Dave designated UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering: Structural Engineering Scholarship Fund (https://se.ucsd.edu/giving) for our SEU Speaker Inspires donation for the month.
Dave shared “I fully support efforts to help engineering students pay their expenses without breaking the bank, and the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering scholarship funds do just that. As a UCSD alum, I know how stressful it can be to worry about coursework in addition to ordinary living expenses, and these scholarship funds help relieve some of that stress. Every little bit counts, and I’m honored with the opportunity to help.”
