There are multiple forms of written communication that structural engineers are involved with on an ongoing basis. This session provided information to help engineers improve their skills in writing letters and emails, as well as memos and reports. Structure, tone, and general style tips were discussed, as well as commonly misused words and phrases.
We also had case studies from engineering firms on how they approach writing in their office, and what they consider good writing.
