Every practicing professional engineer is never far enough removed from a potential malpractice claim. This presentation provided a primer on the basics of engineering malpractice. It covered some of the common legal issues related to engineering malpractice claims, including the legal standard of care to which engineers are held, the elements of a malpractice claim, and some common issues encountered in malpractice claims.
