This SE University session focused on ASCE 7 and IBC seismic provisions that are often misunderstood or incorrectly applied by the practicing structural engineer. Key topics included: Redundancy (ρ), R, Cd and Ωo, and horizontal and vertical lateral force resisting system combinations. Each topic included references to code provisions, suggestions to simplify, and sample problems.
