Guide to Understanding a Project Geotechnical Report (12:30pm – 2pm Eastern)
This SE University session addressed the intent and application of the latest Risk Management Process (RMP) for federal facilities, including how to determine the Facility Security Level (FSL) of a federal facility, and what security countermeasures should be implemented for non-military Federal facilities in the United States. Using examples, Aldo E. McKay, PE, of Protection Engineering Consultants, provided guidance for implementing these requirements in both new and existing (retrofit) projects. This session covered critical terminology as well as implementation of security requirements of the ISC, including information on site security, blast resistance, and progressive collapse.
