This SEU BIM forum, presented by Betsy Werra, EIT, of Werra Consulting, focused on Graphic Settings and Visual Styles in Revit Structure 2013. During the session, Betsy demonstrated the graphics display options for creating Cover Sheet rendering views and 3D details/sections that are becoming more and more prevalent in construction documentation. Covered in the presentation were Graphic Setting tools such as materials, fill patterns, cut line styles, view filters, show/remove hidden lines, and view templates, with a focus on providing information helpful in setting up 3D views. Betsy also discussed the process to create renderings, and provided guidance on enhancing the 3D view by using such tools as model display styles, transparency, silhouettes, shadows and lighting, background and photographic exposure.
