Session Details

1.0 PDH

This SEU BIM Forum session will provide information about Revit coordinate systems, and show best practices for linking, importing, and exporting files from other disciplines. Revit Coordination tools that can be used between linked files to identify potential issues and avoid possible errors and rework will also be discussed.

During the session, Betsy Werra will focus on Revit’s coordinate systems, displaying the proper elevation values for tags, levels, and spot elevations, linking in Revit/CAD files from other disciplines, and sharing the coordinate systems between files. She will discuss the various options when it comes to linking/importing CAD files, images, and PDF files, and working with the Multi-Discipline Coordination tools to help monitor element changes and element interferences between linked Revit files.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the difference between Project and Shared Coordinate Systems.
  • Understand how to link, import, and export various Revit/CAD files from other disciplines.
  • Identify how to use the Multi-Discipline Coordination Tools in Revit.
