This SEU BIM Forum session will focus on the Create Panel Options: Groups, Assemblies, Parts, & the Create Similar tools. During the session, Betsy Werra will discuss creating and editing groups, and the pros and cons to be considered when using Groups for 3D and 2D elements. Next, she will focus on creating Assemblies and how Assemblies can be quantified, tagged, and documented. Betsy will also address ways to use Parts within various 3D elements such as floors, walls and structural elements.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the tools on the Create Panel and their functionality.
  • Understand the difference between creating a group and an assembly.
  • Identify how these Create tools can be implemented in an everyday workflow.
