In their professional practice, engineers are subject to a myriad of ethical duties. One duty that presents an issue most often is the engineer’s duty of confidentiality. In this SEU presentation, engineers will learn about the origins and policies behind the engineer’s duty of confidentiality, the substance and common features of a sampling of confidentiality rules, and how to apply the rules to common ethical dilemmas.
