This SEU session will provide useful information from a delegated connection designer that can be implemented by engineers and their firms to create better drawings and improve communication, leading to safe and efficient shop drawings for steel buildings. The presenter will discuss delegated connection design from the viewpoint of the delegated connection engineer, detailer, and fabricator, including an overview of that part of the industry and the AISC Code of Standard Practice. The session will include clear and concise tips on drawings and communication, EOR and Delegated Designer scope and responsibilities, best practices, and common issues to avoid for shear, moment, and brace connections.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
