Guide to Understanding a Project Geotechnical Report (12:30pm – 2pm Eastern)
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Board of Directors approved an updated Code of Ethics in October 2020. This was the first large scale update of the code in over 40 years. Moving away from the traditional “Canons,” the new code focuses on the engineer’s ethical responsibilities to a variety of stakeholders, including Society, Natural and Built Environment, Profession, Clients and Employers, and Peers.
This SE University session helped provide insight into ASCE’s rationale and goals for the rewrite, and included an overview of what has been added, removed, or changed in the new Code of Ethics.
Current SE University subscribers can access the recording in their SEU Resource Center account. Please use the link below to view the session page in the SEU Session Library.
SEU is a program of SE Solutions, LLC. SE Solutions, LLC is not an educational institution, but rather provides continuing education to structural engineers.
