In today’s market, the demand for cost effective and long-term high performing concrete floors is pushing structural engineers to provide effective and innovative solutions. Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) meets this demand and is changing the market in North America and all around the world. This SE University session included information about the basics of SFRC and the types of fibers used in different applications. Also discussed were installation recommendations, as well as the benefits of designing with SFRC.
