Seismic Design – Appropriate Implementation of the Overstrength Omega o Factor (12:30pm – 2pm Eastern)
This SE University session was the first in a two-part series providing a practical design methodology to assist structural engineers in efficiently evaluating the vibrations of different types of reinforced concrete floor systems. During this session, the speaker presented concepts related to the vibration evaluation of horizontal framing systems, as well as brief definitions of the most commonly used terminology of structural dynamics as it relates to floor vibrations.
Session Length: 1.5 Hours
