In June 2026, SEU welcomed back Thomas Sputo, PhD, PE, SE, from Sputo and Lammert Engineering, to present SDI Tech Notes Live. Tom designated The Citadel Foundation (The Citadel Foundation – Home Page) for our SEU Speaker Inspires donation for the month.
Tom Shared, “The education and training that I received during my 4-years as a cadet at The Citadel were crucial to my formation as both an engineer and a citizen. The Civil Engineering program stressed the basics, and it continues to do so. And the military training provided a solid grounding for leadership in any arena. This rather unique experience in a military environment set me on the path to an amazing career and life and I would not trade those years for anything.”
