Updated Website for Continuing Education by State

If you have questions about professional development in the states in which you are licensed, please visit our Continuing Education Requirements by State page. This page was recently updated to reflect the latest information available from the state licensing boards.

We have identified states with special requirements related to session content, ethics hours required, limits on recorded hours, and/or approved providers or courses by highlighting those states in light blue and providing the relevant information in the Special Requirements field. In addition, we have moved information about continuing education exemptions from Special Requirements to a new field called Additional Notes.

Below the map, there is a listing of states which have special requirements in the 3 following areas: ethics hours required, limits on recorded hours, and approved providers or courses. We hope that this will provide an easy way for engineers to scan the information and see which special requirements apply to the states in which they are licensed.

The 2013 State Continuing Education Requirements PDF that includes all of the information has also been updated – if you would like to download the file, use the link above, or from the map page you can scroll to the bottom of the page and select the PDF icon.

We hope this information will be helpful to you. Please let us know if there would be additional information you would find useful to have regarding PDHs, or if you have any questions or comments.
