Guide to Understanding a Project Geotechnical Report (12:30pm – 2pm Eastern)
Revit has many features that are unique when compared with other software programs structural engineers may use; one of these features is Parameters. Parameters are used to contain all of the underlying information for all modeled objects. They are how engineers and designers communicate with Revit, so that the information from the Revit model can be used throughout the design process.
In this SEU BIM Forum session, Betsy Werra of Werra Consulting presented information about System, Shared, Project, and Family Parameters, as well as the differences between Instance and Type Parameters. During the session, she showed how these parameters affect project workflow, construction documentation, and the transfer of data between files.
Session Length: 1.0 hour
